Cat hasn't made any big moves but she's been positioned well enough between aquatica and RECK that she hasn't needed to. She also has a lot of allies in the jury.
I could see Capy having a chance in a Rat/Capy/returnee final 3, with rat's inactivity.

actually i think it all depends on who's at the end with capybara and the returnee. because that person wins for sure. kestrel is the most likely to be that person i think. Kestrel can beat almost anyone and is best positioned to go the distance too. Kestrel might even beat Eagle head to head.

I'm concerned about Kestrel's ability to not get 4th place. But then if Rat's plan is to go to firemaking against Eagle maybe she'll be okay if RECK makes it to F4?

yeah assuming this vote is capy versus rat and the returnee is coming back next round, there’s no way rat isn’t eliminated here with cat/kestrel/eagle duking it out for who gets to the end. eagle is the next visible target, then i think it comes down to cat versus kestrel. my instinct is to say that capy votes with cat and loses to her in pretty much every scenario, so it’s all about whether or not kestrel can pull off a final immunity win.
although it is tempting to vote capy and open yourself up a spot in the finals while simultaneously breaking up a tight pair— but you would need to think more than two steps ahead for that one.

I think some players in this position would definitely be thinking 'Cappy is past the point of voting out, I should drag him to the end'. This doesn't seem like that set of players. I imagine at least Rat/Kestrel/Cat all think they stand a decent chance against each other. Rat's video confessional earlier suggested he thinks Cappy has more of a case than it appears, and that FTCs are fluid anyway. Kestrel doesn't seem to like Cappy. Cat probably doesn't want Cappy gone but there is precedent for Cat going along with what the alliance wants. Cat and Kestrel might want to keep Rat around to beat Eagle at F4 or something.
I'd still say Rat going is more likely, but yeah I wouldn't count out the possibility of Cappy getting the boot here.

I forgot that firemaking was a thing here. That makes me dislike the Edge even more. They literally will only be in the game for one actual vote.
Honestly kind of rooting for Rat to get voted out and return.

once the game's over, i'd really like to see ab explaination on why the Edge ended so late tbh

I think Rat is going about this the wrong way. There is no chance Cat votes out Capybara here, so he needs to convince both Eagle and Kestrel. Maybe that happens, but I'd much prefer he give this pitch to Cat and Capy:

100% he should target Kestrel, especially since I think an F3 of Capy, Cat, Rat is a pretty decent option for them at this point. Capy, Rat, returnee is definitely Capy's best shot. So Kestrel is giving them nothing.
Capy needs Rat in the end tbh, so the teo of them should get on the same page but it doesn't look like it'll happen.

once the game's over, i'd really like to see ab explaination on why the Edge ended so late tbh i think in my ideal world, someone who had a huge impact to the game would be given a second chance, which is why we capped it to merge players only to prevent a Natalie scenario. I think a player like Lion could have made a good argument for why they should win if they returned, but i think a lot of other players are going to have a harder battle and perhaps they're being thrust into the final 3 to lose. it certainly doesn't feel good to be in that spot so it was not my intent. as for why it ended so late, it's an arbitrary spot. with a vote and firemaking, there's enough chance to get the returnee out if that's desired, but that seems unlikely and in hindsight i probably would have ended it earlier to give them more of a struggle to get to the final 3. it's a twist i wanted to try, especially appropriate for an animal themed game. i wanted to tweak it a little, but i think it might just be a bad twist in general and hard to work into a game.
