Oops I also wanted to add that when it was RECK and Capybara, I knew that Eagle was very okay voting you out. So it seemed like with Eagle, Capybara, and me, I had all the numbers. Since Eagle and I’d goals also aligned so closely, I wasn’t willing to vote him out really until the end.

I wanted to include this, which is a reproduction of a relationship/f4 options chart from the start of f7 ibb.co/kHshC1nIt's a reproduction because it's from eagle, but I think it illustrates the point I'm going to make. (Also, it's unreadable, so I'll explain it in words) At f7, the options That had to some level been discussed with me were the following groups: Rat/bunny/eagle/me Rat/cat/eagle/me Bunny/cat/eagle/me (this f3 becomes a fun thought experiment!) Bunny/eagle/me/lion Cat/capy/eagle/me When I come to respond to you, I think it's so important to emphasise that I had options. That cat had been very vocal about their 'ideal' endgame, but one item, one weird vote, and that endgame doesn't exist. That wasn't a problem I was about to run into .

Idk, it seemed like people tried pretty hard to stop cat's endgame but it happened anyways. Were you just not concerned with Cat's endgame?

Things being good for cat doesn't mean they are bad for me and vice versa. A lot of the time they were the same - good for both of us. We didn't trip and fall into an endgame.
This is 100% One of several valid endgames for me. I'm not sure I understand your question outside of that?

Capy: I'd just like an example of something happening that was better for you than for Cat if you can think of any. If you can't than any round other than the ones you mentioned where you felt you had a slightly more active role than Cat in determining would suffice. I know I didn't invest in relationships with the dominant Terrestria alliance as much as I did with others. I feel like Cat and Kestrel building these relationships did help them get further however when it came time to cut ties I feel like that also puts more blood on their hands. I didn't really make any deals that I broke other than with Frog I believe. So I think whenever we had to vote out a member of Terrestria it benefited me more than it benefited Cat and Kestrel. I think they did indirectly benefit from that as well but through that an option for them was being eliminated that wasn't really open to me. That's not to say that I didn't try to make headway with members of Terrestria, I did. But I don't think our goals ever aligned for me and we rarely ever colluded on votes. I think it's hard to say a more active role than Cat in a vote because we coordinated closely as I did with Eagle for votes. This was the same on Animalia as it was on Acquatica. I didn't really feel like I wanted to rock the boat too much at the merge because I was fine where the boat was heading. I will say I think Cat is lucky that our final 4 challenge changed as I think Eagle would have won that and that would have sent them to the Firemaking for sure.

This is 100% One of several valid endgames for me. I'm not sure I understand your question outside of that? Ahh I see the issue here. You seem to think this was a valid endgame for you when it's actually the best endgame for Cat (almost best, I still think Cat could have gotten there with me/Capy). Instead I feel you have squandered opportunities which leads to my next question that applies to everyone. Did you at all consider jury votes in your elimination and endgame? Before FTC started, who did you expect to support you to win?

I'm going to have to disagree with you. I'm really happy with this endgame - on a personal level, and a strategic level. Cat played a good social game...I think I have the edge strategically, and can show there i brought real balance. In terms of squandered opportunity, I don't think there's anyone I would sit here at the end with and be like 'this player is shit, vote for me!'
I think cat is bringing their a game to FTC. So am I. I'm happy to be in situation where that makes me happy (and cat happy!)
I can't predict what a jury will look for, so I'm not going to go through one by one and predict votes. I did consider what being here would look like, and for me good games come down to speeches and I'm excited to be able to explain my thought process and why I'm proud of my game.
I discussed with a few people. Imagine FTC was...bunny, cat and capy - for me it's down to FTC. Rat, lion, eagle was also a fun one to imagine.

So you didn't consider jury management at all?

The king always arrives when he intends to, and not a moment sooner. I'll be honest, I'm frankly not terribly pleased with any of the speeches. They seem like retellings of the game and not reasons to vote for someone to win.
As far as I'm concerned, I have an idea where my vote hasn't been fully decided. This is, in part, because the speech I liked the least was the person I wanted to vote for.
So, to all of you, here's my first question:
In brief, why should you win over the others?
And just so we're all aware, flattery will get you nowhere with me. Be honest and true. Hold no punches.

Hi Lion, I'm sorry to hear that you're not pleased with my speech. I spent a lot of time thinking about it and it's too bad you didn't find what you wanted from it. I feel that I had to claw my way from a really miserable starting point. Despite not winning a single challenge and gaining any advantages, I made it to the end. I had to rely on my social game to build many different types of relationships to shield myself from getting voted off. In the first round of merge, my pal Leo, who I had been with the whole time, was voted out and I could have easily been targeted next. I also managed to get here without lying about items I didn't have. I hope this answers your question.

I'm not going to say anything bad about Kestrel or Capybara here. I feel like I have a lot of respect for both players and will be happy no matter the result.

Did you at all consider jury votes in your elimination and endgame? Before FTC started, who did you expect to support you to win? Hi Owl! I did consider jury votes but it's definitely difficult to manage. I feel like I had positive last relationships with some people based on our farewell messages who may later have found something out when other people joined them. I tried my best to play with integrity and kindness and I know I was not always successful in managing my own emotions when someone was sent out. I'll use your exit as one example of the jury management strategy I tried. It seemed like even though we had our own strife and miscommunication throughout that round, you ultimately decided to vote for Butterfly and not me and I felt that we had a good last message. At that point, I didn't know of EoE and you would be returning later. Even when you were set to return, I didn't realize you would choose me as the person you wanted to boot. Like Kestrel, I don't think it makes sense to list off the people I expect to support me since I really don't know how things have shifted since I've last talked to them. When you returned from the EoE, you posted a lot of thoughts about how the jury perceived each of us. This was the first time I was put on blast and seen as a threat by anyone. It showed that a lot of new information was present for players who departed earlier so I guess I'll just have to see at the final reveal!

Did you at all consider jury votes in your elimination and endgame? Before FTC started, who did you expect to support you to win? I don't think I did consider jury votes very much on elimination and endgame in regard to my own game. I did consider how the jury might perceive other players which impacted who I wanted to go. I think any Terrestria who made it would do well due to the sheer number of support they would have gotten from the jury. I think Eagle also was a formidable player and I know you said people on the jury really didn't like him but I think he was a really strong competitor. The final two people I ended up with are the two people I ultimately wanted to end the game with because they are the two that I stand the best chance of beating.

I feel like I was very direct and upfront with you Lion. You acknowledged right before you were eliminated that we didn't talk a ton but you enjoyed our conversation that we did have and I feel like it was generally candid. We both knew we were targeting each other yet I feel like we were civil in that regard. Part of that reason why I had been absent was because I didn't want to blow smoke with fakeness. I think I should get your vote because you wanted me gone every tribal Frog was gone and yet I still managed to not only outlast you but also make it to the end.
