Friends, it's time for a puppy race! You will be presented with a racetrack board. At the start, it looks like this: As you can see, the track is made up of a number of spaces. Each round, each puppy moves a predetermined number of spaces, with a minimum of 0 and maximum of 3. When the challenge begins, players may begin to bet on the puppies. Players may place bets until the challenge ends and the race is complete. There will be 8 betting rounds, and in each round you may bet up to three coins in any distribution you see fit. You have 20 coins in total and bets cannot be withdrawn. The winning puppy pays out 2:1. For each coin you bet on the winning puppy, you get 2 additional coins back, plus your bet. The second place puppy pays out 3:2. For every two coins you bet on this puppy, you get 1 additional coin back, plus your bet. The third place puppy pays out 1:1. It returns all bets placed on it. All other bets are lost. Any player who kept some of their coins does NOT count those toward their final score. At predetermined times, the positions of the puppies are announced. This will occur roughly every 3 minutes. Each of these posts indicates the end of one betting round and start of the next one. Before we begin the race, you will also be presented with a set of cryptograms. These cryptograms represent clues about the race. Using all of the decoded cryptograms and information about the race, it is possible to logically conclude which puppy wins the race. The alphabet is not consistent across the cryptograms; treat each as a separate puzzle. No outside sources are permitted in this challenge and no private communicating about the challenge is allowed during it, feel free to post whatever you want in thread. You will have 20 minutes before the race begins to try and solve the cryptograms and can continue during the race as needed. The puppies are named and numbered as follows. 1 Pawsome 2 The Shedder 3 Sleepy Shepherd 4 Giddyup Pup 5 Son of Cerberus 6 Sir Barks-A-Lot 7 Pupsetter 8 Wolfy Woofer The player with the most coins at the end wins immunity. In the event of a tie, which player first bet on the winning puppy will win.

Please fill out the When2Meet in the announcements if you have not done so already. It's tentative but it's looking so far like sometime on Tuesday will be the time.

Unrelated, Gray Wolf is feeling sick and he's the only one who knows how to update the slider so you're gonna be stuck with last rounds' music for a bit.

Okay this is no longer live. When you want to start let me know and I will give you the cryptograms. 20 minutes later I will start the betting windows / race updates.
A few notes/changes:
* The rules say that there are 8 betting rounds. This includes if you want to place a bet before the race is officially started! You may bet up to three coins that way, and any bets during that time will be doubled by the bank, i.e. betting 2 coins on She's The Fastest and 1 coin on Santa's Little Helper will result in 4 and 2 coins respectively on those dogs when calculating winnings. Once the race starts there are only 7 betting windows!
* You start with 21 coins, not 20. That way you can bet up to three coins in each post-start round and I don't have to keep track as we go.
Any more questions?

Oh right, since you won't be able to see how everyone else is doing we had some spectators and non-participants do the challenge too and you will be told how they bet at each stage. This were all real attempts at them doing the challenge so if you rely too much on a spectator bet and get burned then that's on you and them, not the mods.

Hot dog, we have a wiener! There are about a houndred ways this challenge could have gone but only one of them is accurate! First off, the following animals walked away from the track with mutthing at all... Bunny Beagle Next up, some players managed to collie-ect a small amount of coins! Cat won 8! Kestrel won 9! The next tier of players doubled that; they raked in poodles of coins. Lion scored 18! Frog scored 19! But neither of these players is going to be the Top Dog today. Rat scored 22! Capybara scored 24! Capybara wins immunity!

The Eagle squawks angrily.
"For the almighty Eagle to perform so poorly, this race must clearly be rigged. I demand a matchfixing investigation."
