I'm glad it was actual strategy that did it though.

I hope reading comprehension goes way up for this challenge given the way "say fish names" went

I don't want to tell you guys how to run your game, but I'm a little confused why it's not allowed to watch the genius episode this challenge is from. Either someone watched the episode or they didn't. And if they did, it's not like they can unwatch it.

And if they did, it's not like they can unwatch it. Yeah but they have to remember. I don't want people to feel obligated to watch an hour-long episode of a foreign TV show in order to better their chances. In addition I think there's a difference between "Oh I've seen this before, I can use that to inform my choices" and "Oh, I know where I can look up what other people did and do my best to copy them." It's entirely possible I'm overreacting to last round but I don't think it's an indefensible position.

I want to tell you guys that my trusty sloth sticker that has been on my hydra for about a year started peeling a couple days ago and I removed it. Can I get opinions on whether or not that means Sleepy and I are not meant to be allies?

I'm struggling to think of the proper terminology to express this division, but I always took no outside resources to mean don't actively cheat in the middle of a challenge. i.e. if the challenge is chess, don't use a 3000 ELO robot to make your moves or if it's trivia, don't look up the answers to the questions after you've seen them. Whereas to me, educating yourself *before* a challenge by looking up common chess openings and lines or common trivia questions and answers and then committing them to memory isn't breaking the outside resources rules.
I guess it's good to have a clarification on what this community actually interprets that to mean, so my liberal interpretation of that doesn't cause any issues in the future, but I never felt or saw learning generic strategy as a bad thing. Like in my mind, it's a positive to make the challenges more about critical thinking and strategy than to it just to come down to who has more prior experience doing this, but I can see how that could be construed as cheating I guess, even though I feel like that's an excessively broad definition.

I remember playing food chain game in a really early online Genius game, and everyone took to calling the prey animals “shitanimals” for some reason and the mod was getting mad... good times.
I can’t remember too well but I think the game itself was not one of my favorite ones, the outcomes felt a little random and less skillful (iirc)
