The eagle arrives, looking very irritated. It seems to have suffered a blow to the head in some respect.
"It would appear that ALPHA-SEVEN has struck for the first time. Thankfully, I survived their assassination attempt, but it was a close call."
"My mistake was perhaps being predictable. I always go for an early morning flight at around about the same time, along the same path. This is clearly unwise, as it allowed them to figure out my schedule."
"Today, as I flew through the clouds, I was suddenly met with a trap. A giant wall, towering high into the sky directly in my flight path. I attempted to dodge it, but it was concealed in cloud for a long time, and when I saw it it was already too late."

It shakes its head, partially for effect and partially to help clear the ringing.
"I understand desperation, but this makes me trust the little not-exactly-fish even less. She is clearly putting her all into this, which makes me extremely suspect of what went down in the previous tribe."
The eagle seems to be deep in thought.
"The axolotl also showed me the idol clue which Agent K-Bird had already shared, claiming that I was the first on this tribe to receive it, then later requested my permission to show the moth. I acted very grateful and as though I had never seen it before, because that makes sense with my position on the map and allows me to integrate further with this sea creature, but it all feels... either desperate, or not genuine, or perhaps both. Something about the way the Axolotl talks gives the impression that they have no intention of making connections, and are merely looking to survive until the swap."
"This does not mean I am looking to vote them out. An animal like this, even if it is an agent of ALPHA-SEVEN, could be a useful shield and perhaps take heat for things that would otherwise land on agents of MI7. I certainly do not trust them to the degree I trust essentially any Aeria member, though, so if they survive here, it will be purely for strategic purposes."

The eagle shakes its head, slowly.
"This is an odd round indeed. I need to gather my thoughts. This is a good place to do so."
"So, it is no secret that I have little bond with the Elephant. The Elephant was my proposal for both of the previous two votes, and I abandoned it both times due to the fact that the Dog and the Chickadee seemed to be the less well-liked of the three, but my assumption was still that the Elephant was seen as something of an inactive player."
"I had a generally positive experience with the Axolotl. I was very distrustful of her because I believed her story of her last tribe's tribal to be a fabrication, but I felt that she believed I was her best inroad here, which is a great position to be in. An untrustworthy person can still be a worthwhile ally as long as you pay close attention to when it is no longer in their interest to work with you, and ensure you act first."
It pauses to think, before making a quick addendum.
"Well, a logical untrustworthy person, that is."
It continues.
"Several other things have rung alarm bells with regard to the Axolotl since then. As I have previously mentioned, they give the impression of simply wanting to survive until the swap, and not caring about their connections with players here beyond that. In addition, the idol clue they shared with me, they also shared with the Kestrel, and they told the Kestrel that they were sharing it with them and only them."
"That last one was concerning. It's a lie that makes no logical sense; easily found out, with almost no advantage gained from it. And while a logical untrustworthy player can be trusted to be untrustworthy only at the correct time, an illogical one is a knife waiting to be planted in your back at a time you cannot possibly predict. But it was a small lie, so perhaps it was just a one-off for something that does not matter."
It sighs.
"Then comes the Owl saga. The Moth and myself were solidly on the side of saving the Axolotl, whilst the Kestrel, Butterfly, and Owl were all at some degree of wanting to save the Elephant. Of course, it ended up being a good deal more complicated than this, because neither the Owl nor the Butterfly would openly admit to me that they wanted the Elephant to stay, perhaps thinking I would hold it against them if so. I believe the Moth in particular has been portraying me as someone who would never consider anything other than the Elephant's departure."
"The Butterfly, at one point, pitched the Owl as a potential vote to me, perhaps trying to find out whether there was any alternative to the Elephant. I heard from the Moth that Butterfly had pitched an 'unnamed non-elephant player' to the Axolotl, so I assumed that to also be the Owl. There was a little discussion to that effect, but not much."
It pauses here.
"It is important to know that, despite the four animals all being operatives of MI7, there is no alliance between myself, the Moth, the Kestrel, and the Butterfly. These are my own individual connections, and I have made no attempt to link them - the Kestrel thinks the Moth is playing too hard, they think that the Butterfly does not talk much, and I have no idea where the Butterfly's head is at with these other players at all."
"So, given this, it was interesting that the Kestrel came to me with the information that the Owl had been told about a 'Majority Alliance' of myself, the Moth, the Kestrel, and the Butterfly, and their name was being floated in that group."
The eagle sighs louder.
"I suspect this to be the work of the Axolotl. They knew that I considered these three to be closest to me, and they also knew of the Owl's name being floated. And if it is indeed the Axolotl, then they are already attempting to sow seeds of disruption among the people who are trying to save them. That is the final straw."
"Which is amusing, because right before this, the Owl and Kestrel had finally agreed to vote out the Elephant instead. Agh."

It appears even more frustrated now.
"It was not the Axolotl. It was Agent Battenberg. What the hell is that idiot of a moth thinking?"

"I am sorely tempted to void Battenberg's MI7 membership. This made no sense."
"If the Moth decided to hurt my game in this way to push his own forward, then I do not think he is the shield I originally thought he was. I am playing a dangerous game aligning with both the Axolotl and the Moth here, so I am reconsidering whether I really want the Elephant to be the elimination."

The eagle seems fairly upset, although that only manifests in a slight edge to its voice."The Elephant is still going home, but I have referred Battenberg to review. Should MI7 decide he is not a suitable partner moving forward, his licence will be revoked. Either way, I trust him significantly less now."
