The Eagle winces.
"I perhaps allowed instinct to take control instead of thinking things through there. I hope this does not jeopardise my relationships."
"There was a high chance I would be consumed while the Owl remained alive, just due to the fact that the Frog and Lion have been on the same tribe beforehand and I do not believe that the Frog likes me very much. The most likely agreement they could come to would be for one to eat me, and the other to eat the Owl, so that they both may live."
It pauses.
"Now the Lion cannot eat me, as if he does, the Frog will have no option but to eat him. The Frog may well still eat me, but I may have already died to the Snake, so this could kill him, whereas the Lion is a safe meal."
"I suppose we will see how this proceeds."

"If I understand the situation correctly, then the Lion, the Kestrel, the Capybara, the Sloth, and the Rat should take victory. All other players will lose."
It thinks over this for some time.
"This is about as perfect as the situation can be, given that I was dead regardless of what I chose to do here. Should the twist be that only the winning players can vote, then even if my actions have annoyed the Lion, I should have the Kestrel, the Capybara, and the Rat in my corner, so should not go home. If the tribes are divided, then I believe I still have a majority who will definitely not vote for me in the form of the Bunny, the Cat, the Hedgehog, and the Leopard Seal. To a somewhat lesser extent the Snowy Owl and the Butterfly also."

Sometimes you just have to crack a few kids to make an omelette or something like that.

The Eagle surveys the situation.
"It is an interesting tribal indeed. I feel as though nobody particularly wished to make the first move."
"Leopard Seal is the main name that is out there, but it is fairly evident that the animals who were on their tribe pre-merge are not fans of this. I feel as though Seal is a player who likes me and will work with me, but they are somewhat closer to the side of the game I do not see as allies - Frog, Sloth, to a lesser extent Owl - than to those I do."
"The Cat in particular I would prefer to keep in my corner, though, and to outright target the Seal would be severing connections there. Perhaps the best thing would have just been for the Capybara to lose, because I believe that would have been an easy consensus and it would not have been one I would fight against, plus it would make Reptillia as a whole less of a threat to other players. But this is not the world in which we live, so Seal is the name going around."
It tilts its head.
"The countervote to Seal was not clear until this morning, when Seal contacted me to say that they had heard their name and Lion's. This was a most curious turn of events, because I had not heard Lion's name at all, and the Lion does not strike me as someone who would be naturally targeted this early on. He is likeable, active, and somewhat under the radar in terms of the strategic side of things."
"When I questioned this, I found out that Lion was the vote Frog told Seal to push in order to save themself. Which... worries me, to be quite honest. The Frog clearly has considerable power and I was hoping that he could act as some kind of a shield, but if he is already actively trying to eliminate strong players, then it could only be a matter of time until he comes after me."
It pauses.
"I do not want to be the one to push a vote against the Frog, but perhaps things will naturally turn in that direction as a result of this. I would certainly not be disappointed if they did."

The Eagle looks around.
"It has gotten very quiet indeed here. If Mission Control requires more information, please feel free to ask any questions you wish, on any subject you wish. It does not need to be concerning the tribal."

The Eagle goes into deep thought.
"That... is an odd situation. I have grown to like the Capybara quite a lot, but at the same time, they feel like a liability. They are not particularly active, so it feels like they will soon become a target, and if I am seen as tied to them then I also become a target when this happens. Additionally, they seem very willing to use my name as a tool to form alliances with others, in the sense of 'hey, I am friends with the Eagle and I think you are friends with the Eagle, so maybe we can all work together'. It is frustrating, because I feel it makes me look close enough to him that people will not give me their real opinions there."
"So, I have been attempting to distance, and I think I am ready to cut him loose if needs be. If he can avoid being the target on his own merit, I will be happy and will work with him more closely in the later stages, but if he comes under fire he will find no aid from the Eagle."

Butterfly I trust for sure. Kestrel I also trust and enjoy talking with but... well honestly, you and him are in the same situation for me... I think you are both very likable and therefor could have some sort of alliance already set. I obviously would love to work with you more but unsure how low on the totem pole I would be which makes me nervous. The Eagle ruffles its feathers in a mildly irritated manner. "This is perhaps an example of where honesty is not the best policy. I do not understand why, when you are aware that you are a target, you would tell a potential swing vote this." "I think, at least in my mind, this locks in that the Owl's departure would be better than the Seal's. The question is whether that can happen in a somewhat natural manner or not. I still do not want to be a player obviously doing the pushing itself. That is the duty of creatures of lesser status than the almighty Eagle."

"I must admit, I am somewhat concerned that the moment an Aquatica member is under threat, all four of them are suddenly campaigning hard. Particularly the Frog, as the Owl seems to have thought that the Frog was a solid friend, and they completely threw the Owl under the bus."
"My feeling is that the four who survived Aquatica must at the very least have a group chat, and they are taking it seriously. But this is something that I think needs to be dealt with by a snipe on the Frog at a later date, as they are the most likely of any to hold items and idols, and are also the one with the least connection to me. For now, I think the Owl vote is the correct way to go."

"Finally, a question worthy of the almighty Eagle! Worry not, curiously-familiar-looking-bacteria, you have come to precisely the right place."
It considers for a few moments.
"There are a great many fish which are particularly scrumptious, so it is a difficult choice indeed. Haddock is perhaps my guilty pleasure, common food which nevertheless somehow matches catches which are considered to be much more exquisite. Caviar, if it counts, is of course also a rather excellent dish. I have heard that nothing can match the taste of the Legendary Rainbow Fish, but to this day, I have been unable to catch one."
"If I was required to name a single favourite, I think without a doubt it would have to be the great Salmon. Very persistent creatures, and they are quite majestic to watch in their long voyages back to the pools in which they were born. Not quite majestic enough to not catch and eat, though. Their flavor is quite frankly exceptional."
