How did Axo go from top to bottom that fast still my favorite anyways. I will be very impressed if Lotus can make it make up because that makes them even more impressive than grogu

I actually don't hate Axolotl oversharing about their tribe. If Aeria know that she's well connected, they may try to set up a water-air alliance against the large Terrestria tribe.

what's the tiebreaker for fitness challenges? in keeping with transparency, we will reveal this. but before i do i want to say that there are times in games where things happen that are not ideal, that are outside the scope of what is expected. as mods we come up with many scenarios but cannot plan for them all. we discussed many options, including removing both slots, deciding at random, and more. but ultimately we were left with one player who was just having a bad day, and one player who clearly wanted out of this game. an important factor we had to consider was that aeria won the challenge and deserved to have a tribe member. this ruled out many options for us, and ultimately we decided that the least disruptive thing for this game was to break the tie by how the players voted. one player self voted, while one player chose to vote someone else. we treated the player who was willing to play by voting someone else as worth more than the player who self voted and was clearly trying to get out of the game. hope that clears this up, this decision was not made lightly nor was it ideal, but as mods sometimes you have to improvise and i think the game is better for this decision.

To elaborate:
Usually with our fitness challenges we do indeed have a tiebreaker planned. In the event of a tied score for the word search or the quiz, we have the time-to-submit to break the tie. In an art challenge, in the event of a tied average score we had the tiebreaker of choosing the entry that got the highest individual score from a judge, or if that also would have resulted in a tie adding more judges until the tie was broken.
None of these preparations can apply when two players both submit a score of zero.
We discussed a multitude of options, none of which were perfect. Eliminating both players would have been most fair to the two players, but would have been horribly unfair to the players on Aeria, who would have then been deprived of their reward of a new player that they earned for winning the challenge right before heading into a triple TC. Asking Grizzly/Axolotl to submit a late challenge entry would have either delayed the game or required us to choose between telling them in advance they were the vote or telling other players who didn't submit (and had already been told they were too late) that just kidding, they have to submit now too.
A coinflip would have been the fairest, but we were facing an unusual scenario where one of the two candidates was effectively quitting the game. A long time ago, ties were broken by number of previous self-votes. It's an imperfect system, and not one we planned on needing to use at the start of the game, but in this case it seemed like it was ultimately healthier to the game as a whole to just eliminate Grizzly Bear on the grounds of their self-vote than to flip a coin, see Axolotl go home, and then have a disinterested Grizzly Bear automatically go home in the triple TC we knew was coming.

I'm super here for decisions being made in the interest of game health. Even if there wasn't technically basis for it within the game rules this seems like it was clearly a good decision.

I'm okay with that. It's not ideal but Grizzly Bear sounded done with the game, and Axolotl is trying.

thank you all, and if you do have a dissenting opinion please don't feel like you can't voice it. it was a tough call but i'm happy with the outcome.
i'm excited for the triple though, it should be interesting!
